I am well aware that we are not even halfway through winter yet. But just like the fact that summer bodies are built in winter, so too are summer wardrobes. My prediction? This summer will be filled with embroidery, broderie, eyelet and lace. I’m calling it! And, to be honest, I couldn’t be happier about it. After all, nothing screams warm weather quite like trying to show as much skin as possible.
So, to help you take advantage of the US summer sales and to ensure your must-have pieces arrive in time for the warmer days, I thought it vital to roundup the best embroidered tops, bottoms, dresses and everything in between to shop now.
WeWoreWhat Ruched Cup Button Tank
Delicate and dainty, this WeWoreWhat blouse is the perfect way to subtly inject some eyelet into your wardrobe. With sparse rose eyelets and a stretchy tie edge, this top would look super cute over a pair of denim shorts or paired with a white jean and dainty black sandal.
Djerf Avenue Broderie Pants White
We all like an easy white pant in the summertime. Whether it’s to throw on over your swimmers before heading down to the beach or to dress up with a backless top and sandals for chilled wines by the ocean, a white pant is a must-have as the weather warms up. These Djerf Avenue ones are the perfect pair to add to your wardrobe for a little bit of broderie fun. Lightweight, comfortable and ultra-chic, you just cannot go wrong.
Matteau Broderie Shift Mini Dress
It’s not summer without a bit of Matteau—and this dreamy broderie mini dress is no exception. A great throw on dress for any occasion, this mini could take you from the beach to the bar in a matter of moments. I love the delicate spaghetti straps and scalloped hem for a hint of girliness without being a floral extravaganza.
All That Remains Mariia Apron Dress
Another noteworthy dress, this All That Remains piece is high on my wishlist. Modest, simple and chic, I can already picture it at a family barbeque or at a summertime picnic. I also love the lace detail on the back where the straps cross, keeping a little element of youthfulness in the dress.
NA-KD Drawstring Embroidery Pants
Structured, crisp and with the perfect amount of skin showing, these NA-KD embroidered pants are pretty darn special. With a leg that is the perfect width for both casual and dressed-up looks, I picture these paired with white haviana thongs, a perfect white tank (which I still haven’t found) and an interesting shoulder bag for an element of surprise.
Veronica Beard Evert Broderie Anglaise Cotton Top
For wherever your summer vacay takes you (yes, I am well aware I am talking about this in June), this Veronica Beard top will serve you well. This is the top I mean when I say shorts or jeans and a ‘cute top’ in the warmer months. Intricate, delicate and feminine, it is a staple piece for a summer capsule wardrobe.
For Love And Lemons Jackson Mini Dress
Okay, this I can actually vouch for. I have owned this For Love & Lemons Dress for about two or three years now and every summer I am reminded why I love it so much. Ultra-mini and fun, it is the perfect dress to wear when heading to a bougie dinner or summertime cocktails at the beach. Flirty, comfortable and just a little bit sexy, I cannot recommend it enough.
Love Notes Greta Cluny Contrast Lace Trim Shorts
Everyone needs a fun little short to take them through summer—and these Lace Trim ones from Love Notes are perfect. Super short and flirty, I’d add a big oversized white t-shirt and knee high biker boots to make the look a little edgier. Or, simply toss on over your favourite swimmers and head down to the beach.
Imparfaite Paris Austrian Crop Top
If you didn’t read my Substack about the best vintage stores, 1) you’re dead to me and 2) you would have missed out on knowing about this hidden gem website. Imparfaite Paris is a vintage store direct from the French capital that specialises in Levi’s denim and the cutest little Parisian-esque tops. Case in point: this Austrian Crop Top. Such a good summer staple and if I haven’t bought it by the time you read this, it’s all yours.
