I don’t know what it is about the cooler weather but all I want to do is overhaul my entire life and wardrobe. Ahhh, how good! So while I have been pondering on all the fashion mistakes I have made in the past, I have been looking for where there may be gaps in my current collection. The biggest one? My handbag collection. Sure, sure, sure, I have everything I need (technically, speaking) but in case you’re new here, this isn’t about needs, it’s about wants. Duh!
So, in the spirit of sharing, I figured I would roundup the best handbags I have found on the market so far. From shoulder bags to evening purses and slouchy work totes, there is something for everyone in this list.
Gimaguas Mini Franca Bag in Bordeaux
The ultimate it-girl handbag, this Gimaguas style is at the top of my wishlist at the moment. The shape, the metal stud detailing, the structure—all signs point to a big yes from me. I also love this particular bordeaux colour for adding a little pop of excitement to a classic jeans and t-shirt outfit combo.
Bottega Veneta Mini Wallace in Kaki
It’s no secret that Bottega has been back with a vengeance over recent years and, to be honest, I didn’t take much interest in the resurgence when it appeared every man and their dog suddenly had one. However, this Mini Wallace has recently caught my eye (and, well, captured my heart). I love the khaki shade and the size is perfect for everyday or evening wear. Consider me manifesting.
Oroton Caroline Hobo in Bear Brown
I can’t take credit for finding this gorg little purse. I first clocked it on my friend Georgia’s arm during the summer time and immediately demanded to know where it was from. The perfect slouchy shoulder bag shape that can match any outfit, I wish I had jumped on this bad boy sooner.
Now, I may work from home the majority of the time, but that still doesn’t stop me from lusting over work bags. Case in point: this Assembly Label hobo bag. Large enough to fit a laptop in and with an effortlessly chic draping shape, the suede finish makes this as interesting as it is practical. Now all I have to do is find a way to convince myself I actually need this…
St. Agni Wide Bagu Woven Tote in Chocolate
Consider it a beach bag or the perfect weekender tote, this St. Agni woven bag is a wardrobe staple. Made to last, the bag will be able to fit all your essentials without anything spilling over. Plus, the rich chocolate colour is utterly delicious.
Rabanne 1969 Nano Chain Strap Disc Bag
Sure, there are very few occasions where this bag would be pulled out of the closet but I literally haven’t been able to get it out of my head for about the last five years. Unique, decadent and perfect for making any outfit immediately stand out, this chainmail, ‘90s-esque accessory is almost too good to resist.
Certainly one of the more expensive options in this list, the Gucci Jackie Bag is a lifelong lust item. A classic that I plan to 1) own one day and 2) hand down to my daughter one day, this bag is practically perfect in every way. Plus, it’s basically constantly on the arm of my girl crush Dua Lipa so like, yeah, I’m obsessed.
Jacquemus Le Bisou Perle Bag in Silver
And something a little fun to top us off, this Jacquemus handbag is high on my summer wishlist. The silver colour adds a fun element of surprise to any outfit and the organic shape of the bag itself makes it eternally interesting. I can see this one glistening in the sunshine in the outdoor bar while I sip on a glass of orange wine.
Bottega Venata for the win 😘
